The Department of Implantology was founded in Tabriz Faculty of Dentistry by collaboration of the Departments of Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Postgraduate students are trained in this department and perio-implant fellowship courses are held in the Department. A wide range of patients enjoy the services of this Department.

After the surgical phase of implant treatment and after making sure of osseointegration, the patients receive prosthodontic treatment. During the surgical phase of the treatment, adjunctive therapy might be required, including sinus lifting procedures, bone grafting and ridge augmentation, which are carried out in the Department.
